ABOUT THE ROLE
The Food Truck Director is a senior operational leader responsible for the full lifecycle of Chick-fil-A's mobile food service — from pre-event prep and safe vehicle operation to on-site team leadership and post-event closeout. You'll bring the same operational excellence and hospitality standards our guests expect in-restaurant to every off-site event we serve.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, thrives in dynamic environments, and takes genuine pride in representing a brand well. You'll need a clean driving record, DOT certification eligibility, and the leadership instincts to coach a team on the go.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee all day-to-day food truck operations and off-site events from start to finish
- Safely operate and transport the food truck to various event locations in compliance with DOT and safety regulations
- Maintain operational excellence across cleanliness, food safety, and Chick-fil-A brand standards
- Lead, coach, and develop team members working on the food truck
- Set the tone for professionalism, hospitality, and teamwork at every event
- Manage scheduling, inventory, and logistics for upcoming events and activations
- Handle opening and closing procedures and complete all end-of-day reporting
- Deliver immediate, respectful responses to guest needs in the field
- Serve as a positive, professional ambassador for the Chick-fil-A brand in the community
- Communicate clearly and effectively with both your team and event organizers
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 21 years of age or older with a clean driving record (required)
- Eligible and able to obtain DOT driver certification (required)
- Able to safely operate and maneuver a large vehicle or trailer
- Open availability including mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and special events
- Leadership or management experience, preferably in food service or hospitality
- Experience in catering, mobile food service, or a similar fast-paced environment (preferred)
- Strong people skills with a genuine desire to serve both team members and guests
- Composed under pressure — adaptable and solution-oriented in changing conditions
- Reliable, accountable, and capable of working with shared ownership across a team
